The Final Results Are In!

I apologize that it's taken me this long to post the results but I just received them from Jean. They have been very busy at the store and between the auction and the upcoming holiday season, I didn't want to bother her too much.

Anyway, Jean was able to give me Cindy's item numbers but could not find the second ornament that Christina donated so that means our final number will be out a bit :o( But I am EXTREMELY pleased to announce that we, as a group, managed to raise a total of $875 with the items that we donated!!!!

I am SO pleased and can't thank each of you enough for donating your time and talent to this important cause. Each of you helped make a dream come true and it means the world to me :o) With this being said, since we were so successful, I will continue this group for next year! Look for a new post at the first of the year.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate or not to list the results of each item so if you want to know how much your donation brought in, please feel free to email me and I'll send you the information :o)

So pat yourselves on the back and know that you've been part of something very important this year :o) Great job ladies and Happy Holidays!

Tonight Is THE Night!

Gee, it seems like it was just a month ago when I was asking people to join me in this quest and look at us now :o)

If you don't subscribe to the Attic's newsletter, you can view it on their website. Jean has been VERY busy photographing the donations and as of yesterday, they had over 300 items! This is all so exciting!

From the pictures they have taken, I have made up a list of our items so we can keep track. Unfortunately, they did not complete all the items so I am missing a few :o( Here is what I have so far -

Carol - Item 51 MOB $30

Nia - Item 52 MOB $25

Annie - Item 63 MOB $30

Carolyn - Item 71 MOB $15

Tammy K - Item 72 MOB $20

Me (Pumpkin) - Item 86 MOB $35 & Item 87 MOB $25

Natalie - Item 88 MOB $40

April - Item 126 MOB $15 & Item 127 MOB $20

Jolene - Item 128 MOB $25

Cole - Item 138 MOB $20

Irene - Item 139 MOB $25

Ranae - Item 170 CB $60 (yes, that means that there is a bid on Ranae's ornament!)

Harmien - Item 171 MOB $25 & Item 172 MOB $25

Christina - Item 179 MOB $25 & Item (was not listed yet)

Alberta - Item 198 MOB $20

Cindy - Items 291-295

If you know of something I am missing, plmk or add it to the post.

So as it stands, if we get the minimum bids on each item, we will have raised at the very least $480 :o) I know we can do that! LOL!

At the end of the auction, I'll forward all the information to Jean and then she can let us know the outcome. Fingers crossed ladies!

I want to extend a HUGE thank you again because without all of you, this would not have been possible. You've shared your time and talents and I really appreciate that :o)

2010 BCRF Breast Cancer Benefit

Guess what? In less than a week, the 2010 BCRF Breast Cancer Benefit will be under way! How did time go by so fast????

On Saturday, November 20 at 6 pm the auction will start :o) Jean is going to be posting pictures of all the items via the newsletter. If you are not subscribed to it, you can also view it on the Attic's website. I can't wait to see everything!

There have been a few of you who have been wondering if you can bid on the items and the answer is YES you can! Here is the information directly from Jean at the Attic -

"A brief description of the numbered item will be included, along with its item number, so while you may not be able to join us in person, we welcome your participation. You may bid either by e-mail or by phone by calling our toll-free number: 1.888.94-ATTIC (1.888.942.8842). We are not set up to do online bidding, so if you see an item that you love, it is my suggestion that you make your best bid, knowing that the proceeds all go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Some of the more coveted items will go for hundreds, and some even thousands.

To accept your bid, we need your name, address, phone number, and credit card information (if not already on file with us). You will be notified in the week following the auction whether you were the successful bidder, and arrangements can be made for payment."

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone again for all their time and donations. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to come together as a group :o) I'm anxious to see how we well do and yes, I will definitely post the outcome!

I wish those who will be bidding good luck! I know there will be some amazing pieces...we've already had a sneak peek ;o)

My ornament is finally finished and ready for a road trip!!  Here "she" is all decked out in pretty petal pinks and adorned with glowing pink glass beads.  A perfect compliment to the lovely pair of heart scissors.

Thank you Pumpkin for organizing such a fabulous way for me (and all of us) to participate in such a worthy cause.  I would do it again in a heart beat!!!

My Ornaments

These are the 2 ornaments I have sent in to the Breast Cancer Auction!

The Heart In Hand is a kit that comes with a little bag.

This one was Freebie, can't remember the designer. I stitch Glass beads all around the edge.

Faith, Hope and Peace

Sorry I'm late in posting this, it went out earlier this week.

Stitched on 28ct white evenweave with DMC 3689. The picture does not to it justice, it really looks much better in person.

Thanks for arranging this Cathey and I look forward to doing it again next year.

Update

Hi everyone! How are you coming along with your donations? I'm embarrassed to say that I 'just' mailed out my two ornaments this past week...

I finally finished off my felted snowman and he left my house sporting a new pair of arms -

Photobucket

I hope he looks okay.

A few of you have asked how you can find out if your package has been received. I suggest that you either include a note in your package asking Jean to email you when it arrives or email her now to see if she's got it. She stated that if you indicate that you are part of the Pumpkin Patch & Co Breast Fund, she will keep track of how much we raise as a group :o) I'm anxious to see how we do.

As far as I can tell, the following people have finished their donations and have mailed them out -

Pumpkin
Nia
Carol
Ranae
Natalie
Harmien
Annie
Irene
Christina
April
Carolyn
Tammy
Nicole
Jolene
Alberta
Cindy

If I'm missing anyone, can you plmk. Thank you :o)

It's on its way!

'Tis done!  I love it!  My dear friend, Stephani, did the finishing for me, and it looks fantastic!  She used fabrics from the Sandy Gervais "Adoring" line, if I'm not mistaken.  The back has a taupe and burgundy stripe.  It goes to the post office tomorrow!

Cheep! Cheep!

Finished with a month to spare!! My little Christmas Chick designed, by Valerie Pfeiffer, is winging its way to Arizona for the breast cancer research auction. This is the second time I've stitched this one--the first I kept for myself. Since it was my youngest son's favorite ornament on our tree last year, I decided to stitch it again for the auction. After all, if a 21 year old likes it, who wouldn't?!

This is my first time stitching something for a charity, but it won't be my last. It really was a pleasure and I want to thank you again, Cathey (a.k.a Pumpkin!) for orchestrating such a worthwhile cause...
