Update!

Hi everyone! I can't believe that we currently have 15 stitchers in place for this project :o) You are all helping me do something wonderful for people you don't even know and I can't tell you how much that means to me. But then again, don't they say that stitchers have the biggest hearts?

I've finally heard back from Jean. She was having computer issues so I apologize for the delay in getting this information to you. There were a few questions that people had and I hope this will answer them :o)

Due date: Jean states that the items should be in her hands no later than November 1. That way they can get the items listed, photographed and up for people to see ahead of time.

Mailing address: to reduce shipping costs, each of us will ship our items directly to Jean at -

Attic Needlework
106 E McKellips Road Suite 111
Mesa AZ 85201 USA

The only reason am I posting the address in public is because it's on the Attic Needlework website!

If you have any other questions or concerns, please leave a comment or email me and I'll see what I can do to help :o)

Welcome!

First off, I'd like to welcome everyone that signed up for this project. It truly means a lot to me that you are creating something beautiful to donate to a cause that is very dear to my heart :o)

Just a quick recap, today marks my tenth year anniversary for being breast cancer free! In light of that, I decided that I wanted to do something special for myself but also for others :o) I have yet to decide what I will do for 'me' but this Blog was set up as my project (with the generosity of this group) to help support breast cancer survivors.

Each year, Jean, the owner of Attic Needlework, holds an auction with donated items from stitchers around the world. All the proceeds go to breast cancer research and last year they raised just over $20,000! I contacted Jean about whether she could use more donations and her reply was they can never have too many donated items :o)

So our goal here is to create our projects and have them mailed off to Jean before November 20. I am in the process of gathering more information for you all and will pass it along when I hear back from Jean.

I've created this Blog as a sort of support group :o) If you need help, just ask. If you just want to show off your donation, go ahead! If you can recruit more people, the more the merrier. Just remember, we're a team and a very talented one at that, so go forth and create!
